Stained Glass Source, Inc.

Newly handmade in the USA decorative glass panels and suncatchers with original designs by John and Mark, the artisans at Stained Glass Source, Inc. Visit stainedglasssource.etsy.com to view our current work.

Our fused and stained glass window panel sun-catchers are unique among others currently available. The look is elemental and natural. Our multiple fused glass pieces sometimes resemble sliced natural stones with one-of-a-kind random color mixes. Each one is created and cut by hand and not using preset design, so each piece will be totally unique. Some fused glass pieces are made with transparent glass with iridescent reflective surfaces. Notice some of these metallic like sparkly features in some of the photos when the light reflects back from the piece. Some pieces are made from denser opalescent glass for a more solid look. Many pieces have a deep, layered look.

Each fused glass piece is fired at least twice. First for fusing the varied glass into a coalesced sheet. Then cut and re-fired for finished, polished smooth edges. Then the assemblage of the fused pieces are incorporated into a larger window panel with stained glass, soldered, and finished in a zinc came frame for strength and a nice structured look. And lastly, we include some sturdy wire or jack chain to hang each piece. We highly recommend you not use suncatcher suction cup hooks to hang our panels on a window.

We do not make or sell custom glass panels, so please enjoy what we have for sale on Etsy

Glass Characteristics Note: Although we use new art glass materials for each of our pieces, the glass may have subtle ripples, swirls, striations and waves which can occur naturally in the mechanical or handcrafted glass production process. Most common are tiny bubbles, which can make for an organic look as they randomly sparkle as the light changes.

2026 Las Cruces Saturday Market ATTENDANCE NOTICE: Because of the war and current rises in the price of gas, we will most likely not attend the market for the foreseeable future. We will re-assess the situation if conditions change.

Back on Etsy: We have been on Etsy for awhile until 2022 when we took a break and have been selling at the market since July, 2023. Fast forward to 2026 and we are back again on Etsy with our current line of small, affordable line of stained and fused glass panels and suncatchers.

Weather permitting from Silver City, we sell at the Las Cruces Farmer's and Crafts Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month (additional Saturdays during cooler months). See our planning calendar below. We are usually set up on the 400 block of Main, near the Nature and Science/Art Museum.
